Liquor store Application Denied!

District 8 residents and businesses in the Moncrief community opposed legislation that could have been harmful to the community, 2019-0461.

You’ve heard the saying, if you see something, say something. The residents and businesses made it clear and showed solidity to oppose legislation for a business owner, to open up a liquor store with a waiver of distance to a church.

The request ended in a denial from Councilwoman Ju’Coby Pittman, the Planning Department staff, Planning Commission and LUZ for the appeal.

“Together, we are taking our community back one block at a time. "

Our new vision is to bring economic development for long term sustainability, decrease violent crime, and discard challenging elements that don’t belong in our district.

Thank you for your voices and action; if you see something, say something.
